Chamber to recognize local business leaders
WARREN — The Youngstown / Warren Regional Chamber will recognize six business leaders at its annual Salute to Business breakfast 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Eastwood Event Centre, 5555 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles.
The 2024 award recipients are:
• Business Professional of the Year — Greg Toporcer, owner, Top Property Holdings.
• Entrepreneur of the Year — Ronnell Elkins, president, YOGO Bikeshare.
• Business Advocate of the Year — Kristen Olmi, CEO, KO Consulting, Inc.
• Small Business Professional of the Year — Melissa Poland, owner, Sweet Melissa’s Good Eats.
• Nonprofit Professional of the Year — Dionne Dowdy, executive director, United Returning Citizens.
• Salute to Labor Achievement Award — Antonio Di Tommaso Jr. with Carpenters Local 171.
In addition, the chamber will present its Valley Champion Award to Sarah O’Brien, a Brookfield native and acclaimed pastry chef who owns a chain of Little Tart Bakeshop locations in Atlanta. She has been featured by numerous food, business and mainstream media outlets.
Robert Schlaeger, chief of staff to the vice president of Foxconn Technology Group, will give the keynote speech.
