Incumbents Deavers, Santos lead in Austintown
AUSTINTOWN — Incumbents Monica Deavers and Robert Santos each appear to have earned another term as township trustees.
With 92% of precincts reporting, Deavers leads a five-candidate field for two seats with 4,136 votes (34.18%) and Santos is second with 3,772 votes (31.17%).
Former trustee Jim Davis is running a distant third with 2,174 votes (17.96%). Former Youngstown City Council member Michael Rapovy is fourth with 1,011 votes (8.35%) and political newcomer Carl Clay is fifth with 1,009 votes (8.34%).
Emily Ciccone had been the sixth candidate in the race, but dropped out several weeks ago.
