Traffic arrest gives new life to 2022 kidnapping, robbery prosecution

YOUNGSTOWN — Terrence A. Machen, 35, of Volney Road, will be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on several serious 2023 felony charges after Machen was arrested Saturday during a traffic stop in the city. A state trooper made the stop at Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard in Youngstown. During the stop, a trooper discovered Machen had a kidnapping warrant from 2022 from Youngstown Municipal Court, a Youngstown police report states. The trooper took Machen to the Mahoning County jail. The report does not mention it, but Machen also has a warrant ...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two U.S. Army soldiers killed in Jordan while defending against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks were identified on Monday — the first U.S. troop deaths from direct Iranian fire since the opening days of the war. The Defense Department said in a statement that Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, were killed in Jordan in Friday’s attacks.
