Lit Youngstown plans winter gathering

Tickets are on sale now for Lit Youngstown’s annual winter gathering, “Just Desserts: a Lit Winter Evening.” It will feature brief readings by Kortney Morrow and Philip Terman. Morrow was a featured poet for Lit Youngstown’s 2025 Fall Literary Festival and is the program director for the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards in Cleveland. Terman is the director of The Bridge Literary Center. The Catro Trio (Dave Kana, saxophone; Glenn Schaft, drums; and Mark DeWalt, keyboard) will perform live jazz and accompany Terman. ‘Emma’ brings veteran, new talent to TNT stage

NILES — There is a lot to admire about Trumbull New Theatre’s production of “Emma,” which opened Friday at Trumbull New Theatre, starting with the look of the production. Brett Bunker’s two-story set design makes magnificent use of the space, and the way the first level opens up allowed for quick scene changes and created a different look and feel as the play’s setting shifts.
