Butler hosts 86th Annual: 91 artists within 75 miles part of the exhibition

The 86th Area Artists Annual opens Sunday at the Butler Institute of American Art. The exhibition is open to artists who live within a 75-mile radius of Youngstown, and all types of media are accepted. According to Butler Executive Director Louis A. Cleveland Museum of Art announces 2026 exhibition schedule

The Cleveland Museum of Art will celebrate its 110th anniversary with exhibitions featuring 20th century American master Andrew Wyeth and 19th century French impressionists. Opening Sept. 20, “Spectacular Freedom: Andrew Wyeth and the Modern American Watercolor“ will feature more than 100 works, most never previously exhibited, from the artist’s estate. It is designed to offer a fresh perspective on Wyeth’s early decades and his engagement with watercolor.
