Dulci-More brings Honeytown to Salem

The band Honeytown will play a concert for Dulci-More: Folk & Traditional Musicians on Friday in Salem.

The music of Honeytown — Tim Shue, Nate Gundy, Kevin Himes and Toby Hazlett — is described as a mix of folk, American, rock ‘n’ roll and progressive bluegrass created with a wide assortment of instruments, including fiddle, banjo, washboard, bass, ukulele, accordion and trash cans.

The Kidon-based group has performed at Kent State Folk Festival’s ‘Round Town, the Ohio and Pennsylvania Mennonite Relief Sales, Lakeside Chautauqua, the Holmes County Ohio Fair and four appearances at the Sing Me High Festival in Harrisonburg, Va.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the meeting room of the Dale Shaffer Research Library at the Salem Historical Society, 239 S. Lundy Ave. Admission is $10, and all children from the same family accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted for an additional $5.
