The exhibition, which runs through Dec. 26 as part of America's 250th celebration, features biographical information about the museum's founder and many of the works displayed when it opened in 1919 as the first museum devoted exclusively to American art.
A reception on March 26 at the Butler, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will start at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments in Beecher Court, followed by a panel discussion at 6 p.m. in Zona Auditorium.
Butler Interim Director Larry Jones will serve as moderator for the panel, whose participants will include authors Joseph Lambert Jr. and Paul Rohrbaugh, and Dante Bernard and Traci Manning, both from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society.
