Wick Avenue venues host First Fridays Youngstown

First Fridays Youngstown moves to the Wick Avenue Corridor for November.

Several venues on or near Wick Avenue will have special programming from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, 305 Wick Ave., will host a talk by author James Willis on “How Weird Is Ohio?” at 6 p.m. His books include “Weird Ohio,” “Ohio Legends and Lore” and “Ohio Historic Haunts.”

The McDonough Museum of Art, 525 Wick Ave., will present the interactive video projection “The Articulated Act” by Crystal Beiersdorfer and feature music by Floor Baba. Snacks, beverages and adult beverages will be available.

The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., will feature live jazz, art activities, a scavenger hunt and extended hours to view exhibitions by Julio Larraz, Fred Staloff and Kim Novak as well as its permanent collection.

Youngstown State University’s Judith Rae Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall will have extended hours to view its Lauren Davies exhibition.

Noble Creature Wild Ale & Lagers, 126 E. Rayen Ave., will have an extended happy hour and a special beer release, and Yosteria, 252 Valley St., will be serving its fall menu.
