Lit Youngstown host poets at Westside Bowl
Lit Youngstown moves its First Wednesday Reader Series to the second Wednesday for July.
This month’s featured readers are Dianne Borsenik and Steven Concert.
Borsenik, a Cleveland-based poet, was named poet laureate at Speak of the Devil cocktail bar in Lorain, and her 2023 collection “Raga for What Comes Next” was taught as part of Muskingum University’s contemporary and modern American poetry course.
Concert, who lives in Harveys Lake, Pa., is a queer poet whose poetry appears at discretionarylove.com, oneartpoetry.com and anthologies “Agates,” “Common Threads,” “Fixed & Free Quarterly,” “Mad Poets Review” and “Word Fountain.” His collections include “Steer into the Skid,” “No Mortar Required” and “Standing in the Chaos.”
The reading starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, in its Trophy Room, which is accessible only by stairs. ASL interpretation will be provided by Meagan Albani.
