East Liverpool Art Week plans set

Registration is open for workshops, retreats and other activities planned during East Liverpool Art Week from July 28 to Aug. 3.

Workshops include copper tray painting at 1 p.m. July 29, still life oil painting at 1 p.m. July 30 and drawing birds with colored pencils at 1 p.m. July 31. All three take place at the Upper Ohio Valley Museum and Learning Center at the Lou Holtz Hall of Fame, 120 E. 5th St., East Liverpool.

Sound therapy and energy healing sessions with Amy Dunlap and Amy McCormack will be offered at 6:15 p.m. July 31 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at Kent State University at East Liverpool’s Mary Patterson Building. The cost is $40, and those interested in registering should call 330-383-2144.

Arts Week concludes with the Second Annual Artists Retreat from Aug. 1 to 3 at the Sturgis House, 122 W. 5th St., East Liverpool. Participants can stay at the Sturgis House or just participate during the day. Tickets start at $199.26 and are available through Eventbrite.

An art show will be on display during the week at Petal and Pear, 509 Broadway St., and a coloring contest is also planned.
