Allied Artists of America at Butler
Winning submissions for the Allied Artists of America’s annual exhibition will be displayed at the Butler Institute of American Art.
The 111th exhibition for the New York-based organization received submissions from around the world.
Peter Trippi, editor-in-chief of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine, and Gabriela G. Dellosso, president of Allied Artists of America, selected 100 works for this year’s show.
According to Dellosso, “Allied is unique from many other art organizations. We pride ourselves on presenting a variety of styles, ranging from realist to abstract styles. We allow traditional media, like oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphic and sculpture. We also allow mixed media which includes non-traditional medium like collage.”
Louis A. Zona, executive director of the Butler, called it one of the great annual exhibitions hosted by the museum and said it, “features many of the greatest living artists and presents a wonderful survey of the status of art today. The quality of work in the Allied Artist exhibition makes this special showing a must see exhibit.”
The show runs Sunday through Oct. 26 at the Butler, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Admission is free. For more go to butlerart.com.
