Youngstown Jazz in the Park series set
Hubb’s Groove will open the Jazz in the Park concert series at Wick Park.
Started by drummer Robert Hubbard Jr., Hubb’s Groove mixes soul, jazz, R&B and some gospel in its music.
The group has shared the stage with such acts as Terrance Blanchard, Gary Burton, Jonathan Butler, Najee, Earth Wind & Fire, Pieces of a Dream and Tony Toni Tone.
It also has performed with Sean Jones, Gerald Albright, Angela Bofill, Alex Bugnon, Gerald Levert and Mikki Howard.
Hubbard is joined in the band by James Blaque, bass; Mathew Horwich and Roger Maple, saxophones; George Granville and Gerrond Masson, keyboards; and Mazhorell Johnson and Adrianna Miller, vocalists.
Also performing Sunday will be The Kid Brothers (TKB).
It is the first of nine concerts scheduled this summer at Wick Park, 260 Park Ave., Youngstown.

• Aug. 25 — Sammy DeLeon y Su Orquesta
• Sept. 1 — The Band with No Name and guest band to be announced
