ACTS serves up comedic ‘Dinner’

The classic stage comedy “The Man Who Came to Dinner” opens Friday at ACTS Performing Arts Center for a two-weekend run.

Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, the play follows the misadventures that occur when a sharp-tongued theater critic is forced to stay with a family in Mesalia, Ohio, after an unexpected injury.

Chaos ensues as the critic takes over the household with his eccentric demands and entertains a parade of colorful personalities.

Bob Spain directs a cast featuring Susan Cook, Jenny Long, Cole Plotner, Casey Loren, Alan Frank, Beth Michael, Jill Rogers, Dave Daughterty, Amy Burd, Jerry Kruse, Brian Suchora, Missa Eaton, Mike Allenbaugh, Mark Nelson, Dominick Spisak, Robert Anderson, Nina Miller and Larry Lazsko.

“The Man Who Came to Dinner” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday through June 9 at ACTS, 40 S. Irvine Ave., Sharon, Pa. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and are available online at www.actsharp
