Butler extends exhibition until late November
The exhibition “Selections from the Private Collection of David M. and Cecile Draime” has been extended through Nov. 20 at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown.
The collection includes works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Pierre Soulages, William Baziotes, Edvard Munch, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, Chen Chi and others.
David Draime was a longtime trustee of the Butler Institute and was instrumental in the acquisition of such works as Louise Nevelson’s “Night Garden Wall,” Lyonel Feininger’s “Powdertower,” Clement Meadmore’s “Upbeat,” Audrey Flack’s “Davey Moore” and Don Gummer’s monumental sculpture “Primary Compass,” all of which are part of the Butler’s permanent collection.
