Lit Youngstown hosts online reading

Lit Youngstown presents an online event for its First Wednesday Readers Series with memoirist Eliese Colette Goldbach and poet Carly Sachs.

Goldbach, who lives in Cleveland, is the author of the award-winning memoir “Rust,” about working in the steel industry. It was published by Macmillan Publishers. Her writing also has appeared in Ploughshares, Western Humanities Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and Best American Essays 2017. She is a Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts graduate.

Sachs, a Youngstown native, is the author of “the steam sequence” (Washington Writers Publishing House) and “Descendants of Eve” (Blue Lyra Press) and editor of the anthology “the why and later” (Deep Cleveland Press). She is the coordinator for the PJ Library Program in Lexington, Kentucky.

The reading starts 7 p.m. Wednesday, and will be followed by an open mic co-hosted by Laurin Wolf. It can be viewed on Lit Youngstown’s Facebook page, and those interested in participating in the open mic can register for a Zoom link at www.LitYoungstown.org.
