WaterFire Sharon makes ‘Memories’

“Memories” is the theme as WaterFire Sharon returns on Saturday.

Festivities start at 2 p.m. in downtown Sharon, Pa., with an artisan marketplace and food court from 2 to 11 p.m. More than 50 local and regional artists will be selling their creations, and he food court will include pulled pork, mac-and-cheese, hot sausage, cheesesteak sandwiches, fries, gyros, nachos, corn dogs and other favorites.

A children’s fun zone 3 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Shenango Avenue and State Street will include interactive projects, games, giant Legos and the Sharon Tiger Techs and Sharon High School Robotics Team showing off their robots and what they can do.

The main stage music lineup at food court will feature the rock / funk / soul sounds of Pink Moon from 2 to 4 p.m., the Santana tribute act Evil Ways from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Hubbard classic rock act the Hern Brothers Band from 8 to 11 p.m. ACT Sharpsville and Ally Grande will perform on State Street at 5:45 p.m.

Shenango River festivities will start with a native American blessing by Leon Briggs followed by the lighting of 55 braziers on the river at 7:30 p.m. Steve “Honey Boy” Vuich will perform on the river after the lighting ceremony.
