Davis YMCA seeks art for juried show

BOARDMAN — The Davis Family YMCA is seeking submissions for its “But I Know What I Like” art show in October.

Any adult artist in the four-county area is encouraged to submit one or two pieces for $20, and the proceeds will fund a memorial art scholarship for an adult with neurological disabilities. All family friendly art will be accepted within the guidelines of the entry prospectus. The show is unique in that it’s judged by nonprofessionals, giving all entries equal footing in the eyes of the judges.

Work can be dropped off from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 24 and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the YMCA, 45 McClurg Road, Boardman. Cash prizes will be awarded at the opening reception on Oct. 10.

For more information, contact Suzanne Gray at sgray@youngstownymca.org, call the Davis Y at 330-480-5656 or go to ymcayo.org.
