Idora museum announces reopening for 2 weekends
The Idora Park Experience will open this weekend for the first time in two years.
The COVID-19 pandemic kept the private museum dedicated to the history of Youngstown’s Idora Park amusement park and ballroom from opening in 2020, but owners Jim and Tony Amey continued to expand their collection, adding the cashier’s cage and several original games from the arcade. Other additions include Laffin’ Lena from the fun house and Porky the Paper Eater with its original sounds and voice track
The museum at 4450 S Turner Road, Canfield, will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and July 1 to 4. Admission is $7.50 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. For more information, go to www.TheIdoraParkExperience.com.
