B&W photo show opens at Soap Gallery

A photography show featuring black-and-white landscapes opens Friday at Soap Gallery.

The photographers represent different backgrounds and skill sets, and each was invited to participate because they all are actively shooting. According to the gallery, the idea was to see if the photographers’ vision of a landscape changed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The only constraints were that the images had to focus on landscapes and be presented in black and white.

The show features the work of Tony Nicholas, Liz Cooper, Diane Beatty, Jamie Baron, James Shuttic, Shannon Fee, Stephan Poullas, David Wheeler, Terry Polonsky, Brian Yordnoff and George Nelson.

An opening reception is planned form 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., Youngstown, and the work will be on display through May. For more information, go to soap galleryyo.com or call 330-240-0723.
