Elwes, ‘Princess Bride’ booked at Packard

Actor Cary Elwes will come to Packard Music Hall for a screening of “The Princess Bride” in October.

“The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes” will include a screening of the beloved film followed by a moderated discussion with Elwes, who played Westley / Dread Pirate Roberts, that offers a behind-the-scenes look at life on and off the set of the film.

Elwes has played a wide variety of roles in his career, from comedy (“Robin Hood: Men in Tights,” “Liar Liar”) to horror / thrillers (“Saw,” “Kiss the Girls”). In recent years he’s had recurring roles on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Stranger Things.”

It will be shown at 8 p.m. Oct. 16 at Packard, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Tickets range from $35.75 to $55.75 with VIP tickets for $153 that include a post-show meet and greet with Elwes and a signed copy of his book “As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride.” Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.ticket master.com. A presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: PACKARD.
