JCC hosts art workshops

The Paul and Yetta Gluck School of Visual Arts at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is offering two expressive art therapy workshops in January.

For “Embracing the Feminine” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, participants will experience different types of creative art exercises that will help them to reconnect to their feminine self and build inner strength. This workshop is for women only and the deadline for registration is Friday.

“Healing Grief with Expressive Art and Writing” for ages 15 and older will explore methods of self-expression that support mindfulness and improve concentration. It meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 18, and the registration deadline is Jan. 16.

The cost for each class $10 for JCC members and $15 for nonmembers. Both meet at JCC, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown. Register at jccyoungstown.org/visualarts by Jan. 16.
