Wine festival canceled; contest to be held
The Vintage Ohio Wine Festival in Kirtland is canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Ohio Wine Producers Association is offering a contest in its place.
Past attendees are invited to take a glass with a Vintage Ohio logo on it to any Ohio winery and take a picture showing themselves and the glass along with a winery sign, building or any identifiable feature. They then must post the photo to the Vintage Ohio Wine Festival Facebook page by Aug. 31 and use three hashtags: #lodgeat geneva, #celebratelifeatgv and #vintageohio2021.
Prizes include overnight stays at Gervaci Vineyard in Canton, the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Breitenbach Wine Cellar’s 1890 Guest House in Dover, Rocky Point Winery’s Red Fern Inn in Marblehead, Buccia Vineyards Winery and B&B in Conneaut, Taigan Hills Winery’s Bed & Breakfast in Danville, French Ridge Vineyard’s Cabins in Killbuck and Greene Eagle Winery’s Eagles Nest Cabin in Greene.
