Writers Ted Lardner and Kathleen Strafford will be featured at Lit Youngstown’s online First Wednesday Series event.

Lardner’s poetry and nonfiction has recently appeared or is forthcoming from Missouri Review’s “Poem of the Week,” Pleiades, Knell, Gone Lawn, Blue Fifth Review, Arsenic Lobster and DIAGRAM, and he was a recent finalist in the 29th annual Missouri Review poetry contest.

His chapbook, “Tornado,” was selected in the Wick Poetry Series, and his chapbook, “We Practice For It” (Tupelo Press), won the Sunken Garden Poetry Award.

Lardner is professor of English and teaches writing and literature at Cleveland State University.

Strafford earned her master’s degree in creative writing from Leeds Trinity University. Originally from Ohio, Strafford moved to Leeds in 1998 and now is chief editor of Runcible Spoon webzine. She has been widely published in anthologies and webzines.

She is working on her second collection, “Women Changed Everything.” Her debut poetry collection, “Her Own Language,” was published in 2018.
