.38 Special to perform at Packard in Oct.

WARREN — .38 Special is booked to play Packard Music Hall on Oct. 16.

The southern rock act has sold more than 20 million records and is known for such radio hits as “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You” and “Fantasy Girl.” Don Barnes, who shared lead vocals with Donnie Van Zant and sang most of its radio hits, is the only original member still with the band.

If the show goes off as scheduled, it could be the first concert at the Warren theater in seven months. Several concerts planned at the venue in the first half of 2020 have been rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including Brian Mc Knight (now set for Nov. 13), Jamey Johnson (Feb. 12, 2021) and Trace Adkins (April 7, 2021) and the final two concerts of the Warren Civic Music Association’s 2019-20 season.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show range from $32 to $68 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: PACKARD.
