The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley announced this week a new Arts and Culture Challenge Grants program.

It is intended to support the limited capacity of smaller arts and culture organizations, and eligible applicants must have an operating budget of $250,000 or less. Those selected will have 30 days to raise funds, which the Community Foundation will match up to $2,500. Applications are due June 1.

CFMV said it recognizes that arts and culture organizations will play an important role in the Mahoning Valley’s rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with canceled fundraising events, performances and arts education activities, these organizations are struggling now more than ever.
