Ghoulardifest comes to Cuyahoga fairgrounds

Fans of 1960s Cleveland movie host Ghoulardi will gather this weekend for the annual Ghoulardifest at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and Events Center, 19201 E. Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights.

The festival celebrates the character created by WJW-TV’s Ernie Anderson in the ’60s (Anderson went on to become the voice of ABC). Big Chuck Schodowski got his start on that show, and many of the performers featured there and on subsequent WJW shows will be in attendance, including Lil’ John Rinaldi and Bob “Hoolihan” Wells. Also attending will be Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Oleson on “Little House on the Prairie.” Local music duo Take II will perform at 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Ghoulardifest runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 daily or $30 for a weekend pass.
