There are many things to be thankful for, like your dog or your friends. Personally, I am thankful for my dad. Not because he takes care of me, there is more to it, but rather that he gave up everything just to raise me. He didn’t back down from being a father to me when my mom did, and he put his feelings aside just to care for me and my siblings. His life was bent on an axle and falling apart, but what did he do? He listened to me rant about petty school drama and assignments I’m stressed by. I am thankful for my dad because he spends 13 hours a day just to make sure I am fed. It may sound like he is doing the bare minimum and I shouldn’t be grateful, but honestly, I am grateful. How could I not be? He drops everything just to make sure I am OK. He literally swooped in at the last minute for my homecoming dress — THE DAY OF HOMECOMING!
