Bouncing Back: The Return of the Bald Eagle

When: 6:30 p.m. March 24

What: By the latter half of the 20th century, the bald eagle, our national symbol, was classified as an endangered species. Through the diligent efforts of wildlife biologists and a concerned public, the bald eagle population is recovering at an astonishing rate. Join Jamey Emmert from the Ohio Division of Wildlife to learn more about the rise, the fall and return of the bald eagle.

Scholarship

What: The Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown will award up to two $1,000 scholarships for the 2022-23 school year for students pursuing a degree in horticulture, landscape design or floriculture. Applicants must reside in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Stark or Portage counties in Ohio or Mercer or Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania.

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 7.
