DEAR EDITOR: With all due respect to print journalism, shouldn’t The Vindicator/Tribune Chronicle be calling for an investigation into the “misapplication of deadly force” mentioned in the last “Sound Off” comment in the Feb.28/March 1 weekend edition? A March 9 Vindicator story noted that for the fourth consecutive year, the number of fatal crashes in Ohio has declined. Speed-related crashes were the highest type in Mahoning County, 3,130 from January 2021 to the present. Ohio should have never changed the speed limit to 70 mph on the highways. People now go 80 mph. DEAR EDITOR: After spending a week away, I returned home to a week’s worth of The Vindicator. Taking in several of the political cartoons on the opinion page is truly eye opening. Only The Vindy could bemoan the cost of the space program while Trump spends billions in a “Trumped Up” war. I see that the Easter Bunny is a Republican. No eggs for Democrats. With the current cost of groceries nobody is getting meat with those eggs! Board of Elections should be located in Youngstown

DEAR EDITOR: The Mahoning County Board of Elections should be near the city center of Youngstown and not on a far side of town nearing any suburbs and not convenient to the freeway. People from all sides of town go to the Board of Elections to register or to vote, and being out of the center of town will cause many an inconvenience.
