LIBERTY — Township police were busy over the weekend, responding to a break-in and an attempted break-in on the same street. According to a police report, officers responded to an Overbrook Avenue residence Saturday for a breaking and entering that wasn’t in progress. Medina man pleads guilty to attempted felonious assault involving a child

YOUNGSTOWN — George Conrad Jr., 77, of Medina, pleaded guilty Monday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to one count of attempted felonious assault involving a child. Conrad was facing charges of gross sexual imposition and attempted gross sexual imposition, but in his plea agreement, prosecutors amended the gross sexual imposition to attempted felonious assault and dismissed the attempted gross sexual imposition. Sun Bucks benefits to be distributed

Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer benefits, also known as Sun Bucks, will be distributed to eligible children throughout the summer, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director Matt Damschroder announced Monday.
