YOUNGSTOWN — At the request of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel and the city of Youngstown, a Public Utilities Commission of Ohio administrative judge canceled a Monday hearing to hear arguments against a significant rate increase for downtown steam heat customers. Pa. man missing in Youngstown after surgery

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are searching for a Pennsylvania man who disappeared Tuesday evening on the city’s West Side. A Youngstown police report states that William Maine disappeared hours after reportedly being released from a hospital following the partial amputation of his right foot. Maine was last seen outside CSL Plasma near the corner of Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road sometime before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. CANFIELD — Patrick Havas, who is alleged to have lunged at Amy Acton, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, during an incident Sunday afternoon at the Canfield Fair, did not commit any offenses that rise to felonies, Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro said.
