MOTHER’S DAY EVENT: Flying HIGH Inc. will host a free Mother’s Day weekend celebration with hands-on experience at GROW Urban Farm, 100 Broadview Ave., Youngstown, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The community event invites participants of all ages to create a gift for the special mother figures in their lives. SECOND HARVEST BUILD DAY: Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will host the annual “Canstruction” event 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Eastwood Mall, with judging at noon Saturday. The event is a unique competition where teams design and build large-scale structures entirely out of canned food.
