POLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY: As part of Poland’s America250 celebrations, the Poland Historical Society is hosting a special program on the history of Poland schools. Trustee Larry Baughman will take participants back to 1802 tracing more than 224 years of educational excellence. The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Poland Union School cafeteria, 30 Riverside Drive. Another America250 event is planned at 7 p.m. today at the Poland Library, 311 S. ANTIQUE STORE CHARITY EVENT: Mr. Darby’s Vintage & Antiques is celebrating its spring charity event, along with the one-year anniversary in its new location at 7386 Market St. in Boardman, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Twice a year, the staff and vendors at Mr. Darby’s put together an evening with food, wine, cookies and hors d’oeuvres, with the proceeds benefiting a local charity.
