LIBERTY — A Youngstown mayoral candidate has been arrested. According to a Trumbull County Sheriff's Office booking, John White, who recently filed with the Mahoning County Board of Elections to run as an independent for mayor, was arrested Friday by Liberty police for disrupting public service. It is unclear what led to his arrest, but records show he was released on a $12,500 bond.
