Fri. 11:33 a.m.: Coroner’s office identifies body found in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman found dead on the side of Kenmore Avenue Thursday morning as Kimberly Sarcozy, 53.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office, and the matter remains under investigation. Youngstown police are also investigating.

Her body was found on the edge of the road near Overland Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. by a passerby who called 911. Police said they were unable to determine what caused her death and reported it as a “deceased female,” not as a homicide.

A 2018 document indicated she had an address in East Liverpool. Another document states that she was sent to the Mahoning County jail last year for a probation violation on an earlier conviction.
