YOUNGSTOWN – Starting today, East Glacier Drive in Mill Creek Park, near Glenwood Avenue, will close for road improvements and resurfacing.
Park officials said Volney Rogers Field will remain open and accessible from the upper parking lot off Glenwood Avenue. The lower parking lot along East Glacier Drive will be closed for the duration of the project.
Fellows Drive, which is currently closed, will also be resurfaced as part of the project.
To accommodate construction activities and equipment, the northern portion of the Fellows Riverside Gardens parking lot will be closed.
Planned improvements include milling the existing asphalt surface, installing a new asphalt overlay, and placing compacted aggregate along the road shoulders.
Construction is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
