Josephine T. Misciskia 1946-2026

TIONESTA, Pa. -- Josephine T. Misciskia, 80, of Tionesta, Pa., formerly of Youngstown, died on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born Jan. 10, 1946, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa DiTullio Rudzik.

She married Anthony "Tony" Misciskia on April 12, 1969, in Youngstown, who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2018.

A talented beautician, she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and skills with others as an instructor at Raphael's School of Beauty Culture in Niles.

A devout Catholic, her faith was an important part of her life. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and enjoyed creating ceramics in her spare time.

She is survived by a son, Anthony C. "Tony" Misciskia and his wife, Jill of Tennessee; a daughter, Mary Jo Kline of Tionesta; five grandchildren, Cory Burton and his wife Valerie, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Anthony Jarod Misciskia and his wife, Katherine of Hawaii, Lillian Misciskia, Tobey Misciskia and Teddy Misciskia, all of Tennessee; four great-grandsons, Heath, Reid and Grant Burton, all of Pittsburgh, and Anthony Misciskia of Hawaii; two sisters, Joanne Cene of Youngstown and Rose Marie Bish of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Shannon Rodgers, for taking wonderful care of our mom -- she loved you. And for her hospice team, every one of you was so appreciated. Thank you so much!

Rest easy momma, you are so missed and so loved. ... Bye for now.

There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private.
