CINCO DE MAYO: Thrive Mahoning Valley will present its second annual Cinco on Phelps celebration 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Phelps Street Gateway in Youngstown. The free, family-friendly event honors the heritage of Mexican culture. Music, cuisine and activities for all ages will be offered. There will be a basket raffle, arts and crafts, vendors and a children’s zone.
OPEN HOUSE: The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Adult Career Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, Canfield, will present an open house 6 p.m. Tuesday to celebrate Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week. The event will feature professions in skilled trades, health care, veterinary assistant, firefighting and emergency medical service. Meet industry professionals. Hands-on demonstrations and tours of the campus will take place.
CHURCH CONCERT: St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will present a concert with David Timlin and George Mansour 1:15 to 2 p.m. Sunday. A freewill offering will be taken.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING PROGRAM: Judge Renee DiSalvo and Amy Bordonaro of the anti-human trafficking organization, Free Three, will present a program 8:30 a.m. Monday at Teen Challenge in Youngstown. Those attending are to enter through Door 5.
