A $500,000 state allocation will help take down 30 structures in Mahoning County.

The funding is the county’s $500,000 set-aside for demolition under the Ohio Demolition and Site Revitalization program.

Overall, $33.2 million was awarded Monday by the state through the program for demolition work in 65 counties.

In Mahoning, seven of the structures are in Lake Milton, five in Struthers, five in Lowellville, four in Youngstown and the rest are spread throughout the county.
