Youngstown State University is planning to sell a limited number of tickets for the upcoming spring football season at Stambaugh Stadium.

After opening the pandemic-adjusted season on Feb. 21 at North Dakota State, the Penguins play their home opener on Feb. 27 against Northern Iowa. That game, and all YSU home games, will start at noon.

The rest of the home schedule includes Southern Illinois on March 6, South Dakota on March 20 and North Dakota on March 27.

All tickets will be sold on a single-game basis and are $20 each. Due to state guidelines, all seats will be sold in socially-distant blocks of 2, 3 and 4. Fans will be required to wear face coverings at all times while in Stambaugh Stadium unless they are actively eating or drinking.

Tickets for the general public will be available beginning Feb. 10. Season-ticket holders and Penguin Club members already are permitted to purchase their tickets. Tickets can be purchased by calling 330-941-1978 or by visiting the Stambaugh Stadium ticket office.

Also, on Feb. 10, tickets will become available online through YSUsports.com. Tickets will only be sold in advance, there will be no tickets sold at Stambaugh Stadium on game day.
