YSU receiver signs with Cardinals
YOUNGSTOWN — Former Youngstown State University football player Jermiah Braswell was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on Saturday.
Braswell, a 6-foot, 210-pound wide receiver, led the Penguins with 515 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as a senior in 2019. He made 24 receptions on the season, and his 21.5 yards per catch was the best on the team and one of the highest marks in the conference.
Braswell and YSU Athletics confirmed the signing on Twitter. The Toledo native tweeted, “Rise Up AZ!! Excited to be Apart of the @AZCardinals organization!!”
For his career, Braswell caught 51 passes for 986 yards and 11 touchdowns.
