At 20-years-old, Julian Hernandez is easily the youngest player on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers roster. Hernandez is also the only player on the Scrappers roster without any college baseball experience. Yet despite his youth, Hernandez came to the MLB Draft League with an impressive resume. A native of Venezuela, Hernandez and his family moved to Miami when he was 8-years-old. By then, he was already “totally in love” with baseball. BOYS GOLF The South Range boys golf team hosted an invitational tournament at the Youngstown Country Club on Wednesday. Tyler Guerrieri from Cardinal Mooney led all golfers with a score of 73. Guerrieri’s score helped lead Mooney (Mason McClure 79, Michael Kravec 85, Andrew Bushey 93, Christian Stamp 100) to first overall as a team with a score of 330.
