Youngstown State men’s basketball receives Horizon League schedule

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown State men’s basketball team received its Horizon League schedule from the league Tuesday.

The Penguins will kick off conference play with a two-game road trip to Northern Kentucky (Dec. 1) and Wright State (Dec. 4) before hosting four consecutive league games: Cleveland State (Dec. 29), Purdue Fort Wayne (Dec. 31), Robert Morris (Jan. 5) and IUPUI (Jan. 7).

After that, the Penguins go on a four-game road swing to the Michigan and Wisconsin schools. YSU will travel to Detroit Mercy and Oakland on Jan. 12 and 14, respectively, and then to Green Bay and Milwaukee on Jan. 19 and 21, respectively.

That’s followed by another four consecutive home games against Oakland (Jan. 27), Detroit Mercy (Jan. 29), Wright State (Feb. 2) and NKU (Feb. 4). YSU then travels to Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 10 and to Cleveland State on Feb. 12 before hosting Milwaukee on Feb. 16 and Green Bay on Feb. 18.

The Penguins conclude their league slate with a pair of road games, the first to Robert Morris on Feb. 21 and then to IUPUI on Feb. 25.
