The stepladder finals results followed the preliminary qualifying scores, and Tom Gmutza captured the title in the 2020 Warren Senior Masters bowling tournament on Sunday at Champion Lanes.

Gmutza led the three-game qualifying round on Sunday with a total pinfall of 694. He was followed by Bobby Shultz at 671, Frank Florjancic at 667 and Jim Valentine with a 634. The top four finishers advanced to the stepladder finals.

The four other bowlers who had qualified for Sunday’s finals were Charles Coleman Sr., 611 qualifying score; Greg Martha, 602; Bruce Boyd, 577; and Butch Solarz, 542.

In the stepladder finals, Florjancic defeated Valentine, 217-214; Shultz outscored Florjancic 255-246; and Gmutza won the title with a 247-203 triumph over Shultz.

Gmutza had topped all bowlers in the 60-69 age group during the three qualifying rounds leading up to the finals. Shultz was the top qualifier overall and in his 50-59 age group.
