Gavin Miller pitched Creekside Fitness to the championship of the Youngstown Class B 18U division Friday night, firing six shutout innings, allowing six hits and fanning five in a 6-0 victory over Astro Falcons.

The victory decided the best-of-five championship series which saw Creekside take a 2-0 lead before Astro Falcons, 17-1 during the regular season, battled back for two blowout wins.

BJ Arnold was named MVP of the championship series. On Friday, he contributed two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for Creekside. He got support from David Duffalo with a double, a single, two RBIs and two runs, and Noah Riems who had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and scored once.
