SANDLOT: Class B results

Monday – 18U

Astro Falcons 13, Roth Brothers 3 – Anthony Miller had three hits including a double, five RBIs and scored once, Aiden Shepard had a double and scored twice and Cal Bickerstaff had a double, two RBIs and scored once for Astro. Ethan Shaw had two hits including a triple and an RBI and Cam Hollobaugh had a home run, two RBIs and scored once for Roth.

Monday – 16U

DuraEdge 16, Creekside Fitness 13 – Parker Lyons had two hits, an RBI and scored twice, Ryan Telesz had two hits including a double, three RBIs and scored once, and Nate Rynd had a double and two RBIs for DuraEdge. Johnny Leedham had two hits including a double, three RBIs and scored once and Logan Cayavec had two hits including a double and an RBI for Creekside.

Roth Brothers 4, Ballistic Baseball 3 – Landon Beidelschies had two hits, an RBI and scored once, Jordan Streamo had two hits and Tristen Adamson had a double and scored once for Roth. Nick Vitale had two hits and an RBI and JR Prossen had a double and scored once for Ballistic.

Astro Falcons 11, Avalanche 1 – Tyler Staub had two hit including a double, two RBIs and scored twice, Ben Slanker had three hits and two RBIs, Will Morrow had two hits including a double, an RBI and scored twice and Nate Shaw had two hits and a double and scored twice for Astro. Ryan Petro tossed five innings for the win giving up three hits and one run while striking out nine. Lucas Cummings had a hit and RBI for Avalanche.

Late Friday – 16U

Knightline 8, Eaglewear 0 – Mike Sciortino had two hits, including a double, an RBI and two runs, while Gavin Shrum had a double and an RBI and scored once for Knightline. Winning pitcher Guy Young tossed five innings, giving up two hits and no runs while striking out eight. Ian Barton had two hits for Eaglewear.

DuraEdge 7, Whiting Rolloffs 4 – Parker Lyons had two hits, an RBI and scored once, Brady Shannon had three hits, including a triple, an RBI and scored three times, and Marco Massucci had a double for DuraEdge. Cre Calabria had two hits and scored once for Whiting.

Ballistic Baseball 6, Roth Brothers 3 – Jack Dascenzo had two hits, including a triple, and scored twice for Ballistic. Isaac Schleich pitched three innings for the win, giving up no hits or runs while striking out five. Alec Gryzb had a double and RBI for Roth.

DuraEdge 12, Whiting Rolloffs 1 – Tyler Rekich had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice, Brady Shannon had three hits, including a double, three RBIs and scored three times, and Nate Rynd had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice for DuraEdge. Nate Hayes had two hits, including a double, and Colby Lewis had a double for Whiting.

Astro Falcons 18, Avalanche 1 – Dom Fornataro had two hits, including a double, and four RBIs, Ben Slanker had two hits, including a double, an RBI and two runs, Nate Shaw had two hits and scored three times, Stephen Tarnocci had three hits, two RBIs and scored twice, and Seth Cervello had three hits, including a double, two RBIs and scored twice for Astro. Aidan Miller pitched a complete game, giving up four hits and one run while striking out six. Keegan Balla had two hits and scored the only run for Avalanche.

Creekside Fitness 7, Prospects 2 – Johnny Leedham had two doubles, an RBI and scored twice, while Jayden Maggs had two hits, an RBI and scored twice for Creekside. Jared Leipheimer and Jake Hetrick each had a hit and scored once for Prospects.

Late Saturday – 16U

Creekside Fitness 9, Roth Brothers 6 – Creekside Fitness rallied from a 6-0 deficit. David Posey had two hits and two RBI for Creekside (3-7). Jack Davis slugged two hits, including a double, and scored a run; Johnny Leedham had a hit, two runs scored and three RBI; while Shane Lindstrom added a hit and two runs scored to the winning cause. Alec Grzyb hit a triple and scored a run for Roth (1-8-1) while Alex Nicholson added a hit and a run to his team’s effort.

DuraEdge 4 – 4 Prospects 4 – Nick Leasure hit an RBI double and scored twice for DuraEdge (7-2-1) while Anthony Malagise slugged an RBI double of his own and scored a run. Jared Liepheimer had two hits, including a double, a run and two RBI for Prospects (4-4-2). Jak Kenney slugged a double among his two hits and scored a run while Popio contributed two hits, a run and an RBI to the cause.

Avalanche 7, Ballistic Baseball 6 – Colin Brainard hit a two-run double for Avalanche (3-6-1). Paxton Grimes had a hit and two RBI while Ethan Mannion added an RBI single and a run scored in the game. Nick Vitale helped lead the way for Ballistic (3-5-2) with three hits, including an RBI double, and a run scored in the game. Andrew Cupon had a double among his own three hits while touching home twice in the contest.

Sunday – 16U

Prospects 14, Eagle Wear 4 – Brandon Popio helped lead the Prospects (5-4-2) offense with two hits, including a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Zach Macik had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored of his own while Ashton Dunbar contributed a pair of hits, a pair of RBI and a run scored to the winning cause. Lucas Lancaster hit a two-run double while Jake Hettrick touched home twice and drove in another in the win. Joe Roth led the way for Eagle Wear (3-7-1) with two hits, one of which a double, and an RBI in the game. Brett Brown hit an RBI double in the game.

Avalanche 5, Creekside Fitness 3 – Avalanche (4-6-1) pushed two runs across in the top of the seventh. Julian Trott had a pair of hits and scored twice in the win for Avalanche. Devin Gruver led Creekside (3-8) with a pair of hits, including an RBI triple, and also scored a run. Shane Lindstrom hit an RBI single and scored a run in the game.

DuraEdge 3, Knightline 2 – DuraEdge (8-2-1) scored two in the bottom of the seventh. Braedan Gebhardt pitched over six innings, allowing just two runs on six hits, while striking out nine and walking none. Nate Rynd had a pair of hits and an RBI in the game for DuraEdge. Anthony Malagise and Caleb Jones each had two hits and scored a run in the win. Gavin Shrum had two hits and an RBI for Knightline (9-2) while Mikey Sciortino hit an RBI double .

Ballistic Baseball 7, DuraEdge 6 – Isaac Schleich led Ballistic (4-5-2) with two hits, a run and an RBI. Mike Earman had a pair of hits and an RBI while Marc Conti scored twice in the win. Tyler Rekich hit a triple and scored a run for DuraEdge (8-3-1) while Nick Kingerski scored two runs and drove in one more in the contest.

Whiting Roll-Offs 6, Avalanche 5 – Whiting Roll-Offs (5-5-1) pushed two runs home in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with the win. Jackson Gruber helped Whiting with two hits, a run and an RBI in the game. Dante Micaletti hit an RBI triple and scored a run while Tyler Kamerer added a hit, an RBI and two runs scored to the winning cause. Lucas Cumming hit an RBI double for Avalanche (4-7-1).

Astro Falcons 13, Prospects 2 – Tino Campoli pitched a complete game in the win, yielding two runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two. Anthony Miller led the Astro (9-1-1) assault with three hits, including a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Luca Ricchiuti and Grifin Widrig each had a hit, a run and two RBI, while AJ Havrilla banged out an RBI triple and scored twice in the win. Ryan Petro hit an RBI double and scored a run in the game for Astro. Jake Hettrick had a hit and drove in both of the Prospect (5-5-2) runs.

Roth Brothers 8, Knightline 4 – Landon Beidelschies had the big bat for Roth (2-8-1), slugging a three-run home run and a double, scoring a total of two runs. Jordan Streamo delivered with a three-run triple and scored a run, while Nick Plant added a pair of hits and a run scored. Mike Sciortino and Gavin Mauger each had a hit and an RBI for Knightline (9-3).

Eagle Wear 9, Creekside Fitness 3 – Cal Rinck led all hitters in the game with three hits and a run scored for Eagle Wear (4-7-1). Joe Roth had two hits, including a two-run triple and a run scored, while Ian Barton slugged a three-run triple and also scored a run in the game. Jack Davis hit an RBI double and touched home in the game for Creekside (3-9).

Astro Falcons 6, Ballistic Baseball 1 – Ben Slanker pitched Astro (10-1-1) to victory, giving up just one run on five hits in six quality innings, while striking out six and walking two. AJ Havrilla led the way for Astro with three hits, including a triple, and a run scored. William Morrow slugged a hit and drove in two while Luca Ricchiuti drove in a run and scored one of his own in the victory. Marc Conti had a hit and scored the only run of the game for Ballistic (4-6-2).

16u – Late Friday

Astro Falcons 8, Roth Brothers 0 – Luca Ricchuiti had two hits and an RBI and Seth Cervello had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for Astro. Tyler Staub pitched 6 2/3 innings for the win, giving up five hits while striking out five. Jordan Streamo had two hits for Roth.

DuraEdge 12, Eaglewear 11 – Nick Kingerski had two hits and three RBIs, Anthony Malagise had two hits, including a double, three RBIs and scored twice, and Kyle Yost had three hits and scored twice for DuraEdge. Ethan Prout had two hits, two RBIs and scored once; Brett Brown had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice; and Dashawn Gunther Putnam had two hits, two RBIs and scored once for Eaglewear.

Prospects 4, Ballistic Baseball 3 – Zach Macik has three hits and scored twice while Jake Dohy had a double, RBI and scored once for Prospects. JR Prossen had a double, triple and two RBIs for Ballistic.

Knightline 11, Avalanche 1 – Anthony Massucci had three hits including a double, an RBI and scored twice; Dru DeShields had a double and three RBIs; and Gavin Shrum had a triple and scored once for Knightline. Paxton Grimes had a double and scored once for Avalanche.

Whiting Rolloffs 10, Creekside Fitness 8 – Mitch Lang had two doubles, an RBI and scored twice; Tyler Kamerer had two hits and scored; and Eddie Lutton had a triple, three RBIs and scored once for Whiting. Johnny Leedham had two hits including a double, an RBI and scored twice, while David Posey had a triple, RBI and scored once for Creekside.

16u – Saturday

Knightline 11, Whiting Rolloffs 2 – Anthony Butto had three hits including a double, five RBIs and scored once; Anthony Massucci had three hits including a double and scored twice; and Gino Lazzarri had three hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Knightline. Josh Pallerino had two hits and scored once, while Mitch Lang had two hits for Whiting Rolloffs.

Astro Falcons 8, Eaglewear 5 – Luca Ricchiuti had a triple, RBI and scored three runs, and Tyler Staub had a hit, RBI and scored twice for Astro. Joe Roth had three hits including a double and an RBI for Eaglewear.

Knightline 10, DuraEdge 3 – Gabe Faunda had two hits, including a triple, two RBIs and scored three times, while Nick Jacobs had two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs for Knightline. Jake Bowen had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs, and Ethan Hanley had two hits for DuraEdge.

Astro Falcons 12, Eaglewear 3 – AJ Havrilla had two hits including a double, three RBIs and two runs; JJ Wetherholt had two hits, an RBI and a run; Ricky Havrilla had a triple, three RBIs and a run; and Will Ray had a triple and scored twice for Astro. Matt Womer had a hit, an RBI and arun for Eagle Wear.

Wednesday – 16U

DuraEdge 13, Roth Brothers 4 – Kyle Yost had two hits and three RBIs, Caleb Jones had three hits and scored twice, and Brady Shannon had a triple, three RBIs and scored twice for DuraEdge. Nick Plant had two hits and scored twice for Roth.
