Columbiana falls to Southern; Windham, West Branch win big

Southern 48, Columbiana 12: Colton Soukup scored five times for the Indians with four coming on the ground. Soukup ran for 194 yards on seven attempts, his other score came on an interception returned for a touchdown. Eddie Clancy scored twice for Columbiana.

West Branch 62, Canton South 42: The Warriors had a record-breaking night on Friday as running back Steven Marra set a new school record with 7 touchdowns in a game. Nick Wilson also tied the school record for career touchdown receptions with 19. He caught 4 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown on Friday. Marra rushed 37 times for 291 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback Dru DeShields also had a big night passing for 320 yards and a touchdown.

Windham 36, Catholic Central 6: Miki Jones led the Bombers with 146 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Chase Eye also rushed 9 times for 88 yards in the win. James Hood added two touchdowns on the ground and Lucas Churchill capped off the scoring with an interception return for a touchdown.
