BOYS BASKETBALL

WEST BRANCH 54, AQUINAS 41: BELOIT — The Warriors (6-3) fought off a second half surge from the Knights to get the win over Aquinas. West Branch held a 25-9 lead at the break, but Aquinas scored 32 points in the second half to make a push back.

Leading for the Warriors was Dru DeShields who had 20 points. Jaxon Hendershott scored 11 and both Jed Smith and Josh Gregory added eight each.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

LaBRAE 67, CAMPBELL 27: LEAVITTSBURG — The Vikings used balanced scoring and a double-double from senior Jenna Reppart to pull away from visiting Campbell in the MVAC-Scarlet Tier opener for both schools.

Reppart had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Laura McCoy led the Vikings (3-1 overall) in scoring with 18 points. Briley Daniels added 17 point.

The Red Devils (2-6 overall) got 11 points from Madison Shuger and seven from Diamon Sims.

WRESTLING

AUSTINTOWN — The Fitch Falcons (14-2)took down Poland and GlenOak in a tri-meet Saturday, beating the Bulldogs 64-11 and the Golden Eagles 55-18.

Dual winners for the Falcons were Sergio Marinelli, Alec Herman, Jacob Ferguson, Authur Croom, David Shannon, Colin Roberts, Tyler Lintner, Muhammad Riaz and Peyton Quarles.
