¯ STRUTHERS 61, SEBRING 48: STRUTHERS — Struthers rebounded from a slow start and pulled away from the feisty Trojans in the fourth quarter.

Sebring (14-8) took a 12-6 first-quarter lead, but the Wildcats (19-3) found their rhythm in the second quarter, outscoring the Trojans, 20-11. The teams played tight in the third, and Sebring was within two to start the fourth quarter, but Struthers closed the game out on a 22-11 run.

Four players scored in double figures for the Wildcats, led by Carson Ryan’s 15. Trey Metzka followed with 12, and Jared Laczko (11) and Brandon Washington (10) also chipped in.

Gabe Lanzer and Carson Rouse paced Sebring with 12 points apiece. Jake Hunter put in 10 points.

¯ EAST CANTON 82, EAST PALESTINE 56: EAST PALESTINE — Johnathan Bertovitch set a milestone for the Bulldogs in a losing effort against East Canton.

Bertovitch broke the single season scoring record for boys basketball, breaking the record of 557 points that was set in 1980 by Brad Weber.

Bertovitch finished the night with 29 points and Zion Figley added 10.

¯ WEST BRANCH 45, ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 42: LOUISVILLE — West Branch put together a fourth-quarter rally to upend the Knights in a non-conference clash.

The Warriors (18-4) trailed 33-31 entering the fourth, but they outscored St. Thomas Aquinas, 14-9, to earn the victory. Jaxon Hendershott paced West Branch with 16 points, including four of the Warriors’ six 3-pointers. Cohen Lamp added 10 points for West Branch, which led 22-19 at halftime before a third-quarter run by the Knights.

Caden Brown led all scorers with 21 points for Aquinas (10-12).

¯ MASSILLON 59, URSULINE 56: MASSILLON — Ursuline couldn’t finish a fourth-quarter comeback as the Tigers held on for a non-conference victory.

The Irish (9-13) trailed, 40-32, entering the fourth, but they scored 24 points in the final 8 minutes and were within two a couple times in the final minutes. The Irish couldn’t get a shot off in the closing seconds. Jakaylin Iriving scored nine of his team-high 14 points in the fourth quarter, and Vince Armeni added eight of his 10 in the fourth.

Jaden Stock paced Massillon (18-4) with a game-high 29 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. The Tigers outscored Ursuline, 27-19, in the second and third quarters.

¯ LOWELLVILLE 49, LEETONIA 47: LOWELLVILLE — The Rockets had a dominant third quarter which was enough to hold off a last-minute effort by the Bears to pick up the win.

Lowellville scored 23 points in the third quarter while holding Leetonia to eight points. The Bears outscored Lowellville by six in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to rally back.

Anthony Lucente led the Rockets with 11 points and Ian Davis led Leetonia with a game-high 13 points.

¯ HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN 61, CRESTVIEW 54: COLUMBIANA — The Lions had four scorers reach double-figures in a win over Crestview.

Joey Donofrio (16 points) led the team with Becket Richards (15 points), Steven Baker (12 points) and Cade Roth (10 points) all following close behind.

After trailing by five after the first quarter, Heartland Christian put up three consecutive quarters outscoring the Rebels.

Drake Golden led Crestview with 21 points and Kirkland Miller followed with 14.

¯ LISBON 52, JACKSON-MILTON 41: NORTH JACKSON — Lisbon outscored the Blue Jays 31-23 in the second half to secure a non-league victory.

Ryan McCullough scored a game-high 21 for the Blue Devils, who held a slim 21-18 lead at the half before pulling away. Blayne Brownfield added 11 for Lisbon.

Cole Grope scored 12 for Jackson-Milton (7-15), which led, 12-11, after one quarter, and AJ Bouch added 10.

¯ CHAMPION 80, MINERAL RIDGE 57: CHAMPION — Champion was hot from the start in a non-conference rout of the Rams.

The Golden Flashes (11-11) scored at least 21 points in each of the first three quarters and had four players score in double figures. A 24-13 edge in the second quarter pushed their lead to 15 by halftime, and they put the game out of reach with an eight-point advantage in the third.

Champion’s Abe Bayus scored a team-high 17 points. Nick Stahlman (15 points), Chase Lindsay (13) and Austin Willforth (10) also reached double figures.

Anthony Ragazzine scored a game-high 21 points for Mineral Ridge (8-14), and Miles Culp added 14.
