The Trumbull County Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2027 class of inductees.
The organization is in the process of a change in leadership, with president Chuck Potashnik stepping down last month. Because of the new administration change, the hall of fame postponed the induction ceremony.
The ceremony will now take place on April 4 at DiVestes Banquet Centre in Warren. Tickets cost $40 for adults and $30 for children age 12 and under.
This year's inductees are Pamela Brown (Gant), multi-sport; Justin Eschman, multi-sport; Don James, cross country and track; Dennie Liebert, sports media; John Mang Sr., sports official; Benjamin Moody, track and football; William "Bill" O'Dell, basketball coach; Zach Rasile, basketball; Cassidy "Cash" Shaffer, softball; Jerome "Jerry" Teringo, sports official; Jerry Walker, cross country and track; and the 1972 Maplewood cross country team.
Maplewood's 1972 cross country team will become the first team inducted into the Trumbull County Sports Hall of Fame.
